Autoimmunity/Autoinflammation resolved at the single-cell level
In our lab, we are proposing to revisit rare monogenic disorders, characterized by autoimmunity and/or autoinflammation, at the single-cell level. By combining transcriptomic with proteomic and chromatin accessibility analyses performed on cells from the peripheral blood and from biopsies, we are aiming to identify so-called “pathological” cell clusters, mostly enriched of cells from patients as compared to controls. From such “pathological” cluster of cells, we intend to extract new molecular signatures, biomarkers that will help to redefine patients ‘stratification at the molecular level. We are now looking for a very talented and ambitious postdoc who will embark with us, on this journey to redefine autoimmunity and autoinflammation at the molecular level.

Expectations of the current post
The post-doc will be expected to better characterize already identified and yet to be discovered, cluster of “pathological” cells and design, extract and validate molecular signatures and biomarkers. He will design functional cellular and molecular experiments to validate and discover new pathways in order to help us to better understand the pathophysiology behind autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases. He will join an already experimented cross-disciplinary team composed of cellular biologists, virologists, immunologists and computational biologists. The postdoc will have its own projects and will also be collaborating with other academic teams at Imagine, Pasteur and Curie institute.
We are looking for a highly motivated research scientist with a proven track-record of independent working. The candidate must have first-class skills in Immunology, molecular biology. Candidates with a background in autoimmunity, and inflammatory responses are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of single-cell technologies and notions of computational biology would be ideal.
Length of contract
The contract will initially be for 36 months.
