Make our wedding a moment of conviviality and generosity

For our wedding, my husband and I asked each of our guests to make a donation to the Imagine Institute rather than giving us gifts from a wedding registry. We are proud to have realized this dream by involving our loved ones, not only in the joy and emotion of our wedding, but also in the enthusiasm of defending a cause that is dear to us.

For our wedding, my husband and I suggested that each of our guests make a donation to the Imagine Institute, rather than giving us gifts from a wedding registry.

This had been my dream for a long time. In perfect agreement with my husband, we had this same idea that there was no more beautiful symbol: that the founding act of the construction of our family life should also be an opportunity to support other families. It was with this message that we asked our friends and family for help.

Both of us were supporting different associations, but we had not found our "heart foundation". We owe our encounter with the Imagine Foundation to a colleague and brilliant gallery owner, Kamel Mennour, who, with words from the heart, spoke to us for the first time about Imagine's remarkable mission. I discovered an institute looking to the future, bringing hope and a better tomorrow for thousands of sick children, with whom we shared common values. We were immediately excited and the next step was very simple.

I contacted the Institute to find out if it was possible to organize such a fundraising event. After confirmation, the donor service even directed me to an online tool that allowed each of our guests to make a donation very simply. I then explained our symbolic approach and our choice to our guests.

The reception was great. Everyone was happy to make this gesture, for us, but also for the children and their families. We are proud to have realized this dream by involving our loved ones, not only in the joy and emotion of our wedding, but also in the enthusiasm of defending a cause that is dear to us.
