Agnese LODA
Agnese Loda holds a PhD in Epigenetics from Erasmus University Rotterdam (The Netherlands), where she trained in the laboratory of Prof. Joost Gribnau. During her doctoral research, she focused on X-chromosome inactivation and gained extensive expertise in molecular biology and genomic engineering.
She then pursued postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Prof. Edith Heard at Institut Curie (Paris) and the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL, Heidelberg), where she continued her work in developmental epigenetics, with a particular focus on the mechanisms that allow certain genes to escape X-chromosome inactivation. During her postdoctoral training, she was awarded the L’Oréal–UNESCO For Women in Science Fellowship and a Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship.
Agnese Loda is currently a tenure-track Junior Professor (Chaire de Professeure Junior) at Université Paris Cité and was awarded an ANR JCJC Young Investigator grant to establish her research program.
