Entrepreneurship is an acceleration vector of biomedical innovations awaited by patients and their families. To support entrepreneurs in their work, Imagine opens the Imagine Bioentrepreneurs Launchpad program, following a pilot program initiated in 2016, and supports the M2 Bioentrepreneurs at the University of Paris.
Imagine Bioentrepreneurs Launchpad: an accelerator for healthcare projects
Imagine Bioentrepreneurs Launchpad is a program to train entrepreneurs and accelerate healthtech startup projects with a high impact for patients. These programs are aimed at students of different profiles: scientists, doctors, pharmacists, engineers and managers.
The programs relies on close to the field and project-based education. After a matching phase (from September to December), for which the objective is to connect students of partner trainings among themselves as well as with researchers or doctors offering biomedical research programs, the program is in the form of a bootcamp lasting 9 to 12 weeks (from January), where teams of students work full time on their projects, while benefiting from the intervention of specialists and personalized coaching.
The Imagine Bioentrepreneurs Launchpad program is directed by Prof. Olivier Hermine, doctor, researcher and entrepreneur.
The University of Paris, HEC Paris and Ecole Polytechnique, partners of the program
The training is recognized by the Master 2 “Biomedical engineering (BME)” delivered by Paris Descartes University, of which Imagine Institute is partner. Students can enroll in parallel and then attend additional classes. The program is a valid EU course in Biomedical Entrepreneurship
It is also open to “deeptech” entrepreneurship trainings offered by HEC Paris and Ecole Polytechnique. The Imagine Bioentrepreneurs Launchpad program comes within the scope of continuity from a pilot program initiated in 2016.
The program is recognized by the Master 2 Biomedical engineering (BME) (Université Paris-Descartes/Université de Paris), and the MSC X-HEC Entrepreneurs (Ecole Polytechnique and HEC Paris).
