The Castleman team is dedicated to the study of all forms of Castleman diseases and I serve as scientific coordinator of the French national Reference for Castleman diseases.

The team includes a post-doctoral fellow (Yannick Dieudonné), two PhD students (Marc-Antoine Silvestrini and Romain Stammler), and one Master’s student (Estienne Belenfant).

Our research focuses on the genomic drivers and stromal involvement in Unicentric Castleman disease and their links to autoimmune and neoplastic complications, such as follicular dendritic cell sarcoma. The follicular dendritic sarcoma biology is explored through the Follicular Dendritic Cell consortium (clinicians : S. Winter, F. Bourdeaut, T. Assi, C. Tlemsani, pathologists : JF Emile, V. Meignin, P. Dartigues)

Additionally, we aim to develop novel diagnostic and therapeutic tools for HHV8+ multicentric Castleman disease using in vitro and ex vivo models, while studying the disease's pathophysiology with a focus on viral-induced genomic instability and the occurrence of primary effusion lymphoma.
