In 2017, Cérane graduated from the school ESIEE PARIS (Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieurs en Electronique et Electrotechnique) as an engineer in Biotechnology and Health fields, and in 2018, she obtained a master’s degree in Tissue, Cell and Gene Biotherapies from Paris-Saclay University. During her master studies, she worked on the development of gene therapy strategies for mitochondrial diseases under the supervision of Dr. Benedetta RUZZENENTE.

In December 2018, she was awarded a PhD fellowship from FRM ( Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale) to study the pathophysiology and tissue-specificity of Leigh Syndrome under supervision of Dr. Metodi METODIEV and Dr. Benedetta RUZZENENTE.
